The hymn that we will be singing during the Presentation of the Gifts was formerly known as "Yahweh, I know you are near".  However, we are under instruction to no longer use "Yahweh" and to replace it with "The Lord" or "Lord".  This applies to readings from Scripture as well as hymns.

For those not aware of the origin of Yahweh, it comes from when Moses was confronted by God in the burning bush.  God instructed Moses to go to Pharaoh but Moses began to make excuses why he couldn't go.  One excuse was that his people wouldn't believe him unless he had a name, so he asked God "Who shall I say sent me?"  But to know someone's name was to have a power over them, and God wasn't having any of that.  So he said, "I am who I am".  This effectively became the name that the Jewish people used for God, "The one who is", written, YHWH - as ancient Hebrew had no vowels.  But although this name was written down they never pronounced it - it was too holy to do so - and when they came across YHWH in their sacred texts they instead said "Adonai", ie "The Lord".

Over the years the pronunciation of YHWH was lost as it was never uttered.  For a period of time it was thought to be pronounced "Jehovah" but more recent scholarship favoured "Yahweh".

But the Church has requested that we return to the idea that the name is too holy to actually utter; and so all recent hymnals and Lectionaries will have replaced Yahweh with "The Lord" or "Lord".
